Rogan expressed his gratitude for what he described as one of the best accomplishments of his life in a heartfelt speech. Furthermore, Rogan said, “Seriously, this is one of the proudest moments of my life,” about accomplishing the black belt. Rogan cited that BJJ remains hard for most people and receiving a black belt was a remarkable achievement.
Subsequently, Rogan received his second black belt from the legendary martial arts instructor and red-black belt Jean Jacques Machado. Furthermore, Rogan’s black belt from Bravo from 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu was for no-gi. However, his black belt from Machado was in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the gi.

Joe Rogan gets emotional while talking about Eddie Bravo
Rogan got emotional recently when reminiscing about seeing his buddy Bravo win against Royler Gracie in a BJJ match. Bravo holds a third-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and founded the organization 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu. The Gracie family are big names in the Jiu-Jitsu community.
Furthermore, Joe Rogan achieved his first black belt in the discipline in 2012 under his guidance, and they are quite close. In a JRE podcast, Rogan recalled Bravo’s submission grappling match at the ADCC World Championships in 2003. Subsequently, Rogan mentioned how Bravo had incredible leg dexterity, which made him dangerous at close range.
Rogan recalled the moment Gracie got close to Bravo at the match and how Bravo made him swiftly submit. In addition, Rogan mentioned how witnessing the moment made him cry, and even talking about it made him emotional.
