Early Life and Family
Patricia was born on December 13th, 1941 in Lockport, New York to Elizabeth M. (Ward) Scheffler. She later married LaVern "Bruddy" Drewes, who predeceased her. After Bruddy's passing, she married Dane W. Huth, known locally as "The Popcorn King."
Patricia was a loving mother of two daughters, Trisha Drewes of Wilson and Reneé Drewes of Simpsonville, South Carolina. Her only grandson, Bryce J. Drewes of Wilson, held a special place in her heart, affectionately referring to her as "Geega."
Dedication to Bye's Popcorn
In 1923, Clifford E. Bye first opened Bye’s Popcorn stand along the shores of Lake Ontario in Olcott, establishing an iconic local landmark. Patricia eventually took over ownership and poured her heart and soul into keeping the historic popcorn stand running.
Through Patricia's strength and dedication, Bye’s Popcorn reached the impressive milestone of 100 years in operation this year.
