No Season 3 For Transporter: The Series

Publish date: 2024-06-26

That’s right folks! If Frank Martin was a real man, he would blame the cancellation of ‘Transporter: The Series’ on ‘bad timing!’ As is the case with the majority of decent television shows that end on a nerve-clenching cliff-hanger.

The show – spun off from the ‘Transporter’ film series created by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen – starred the suave Chris Vance in the lead role of courier Frank Martin, originally played in the films by Jason Statham and newcomer Ed Skrein.

The premise of ‘Transporter: The Series’ is a simple and well executed state of affairs. The Transporter (Vance) is paid to pick up and deliver people or cargo from anywhere in the world. For fans of expensive sports cars and beautiful women this is a must! The friendly banter between Chris Vance and his mechanic co-star Charly Hübner is reason alone for watching this speedy series.

There has been no word on the show fate in nearly a year, until now that is. Writer Frank Spotnitz told Digital Spy that he does not expect a third season – and blamed bad timing on the show’s axe.

On the bright side, at least fans of the action thriller franchise still have this years ‘The Transporter Refueled’ to keep their adrenaline seeking antics at bay.

The first season of ‘Transporter: The Series’ is already available on DVD here in the UK.
