Kristin Cavallari recently took part in an Instagram Live conversation for Revolve with her stylist Dani Michelle; and, the Very Cavallari star opened up about what life is like at her home in Nashville with her three kids amid her divorce from Jay Cutler – not to mention a lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cavallari – who is the mom of Camden, 7, Jaxon, 6, and Saylor, 4 – said that she was at her best friend and hairstylist Justin Anderson’s house for the Instagram Live convo. She explained that they have been together since day one of quarantine, including during their three-week vacation in the Bahamas which also included Cutler.

After they jumped at the opportunity to return home to Nashville in early April, Cutler filed for divorce from Cavallari. The reality star says that when it comes to taking care of her kids during quarantine, they have “maxed out every creative idea.”

“I used to wake up at 5 a.m. every morning, work out, and then I would get my kids ready for school, take them to school and go to the office,” explained Cavallari. “I haven’t set an alarm since all of this has been going on. It’s going to be really hard for me to get back into it. I don’t know that I can go back to that 5 a.m. lifestyle.”

The Uncommon James founder says that because of her kids she has been getting up anywhere between 6:30 am and 8:00 am, and she doesn’t usually let her kids sleep with her. However, she’s been rotating the kids for the last week. Even though it’s cute, Cavallari says those are the moments that will never be the same and she’ll never get them back. In that sense, she says she’s been trying to “really enjoy that time” with her kids.

As for homeschooling, Cavallari says teaching her sons Camden and Jaxon has been “tough.” She noted that Jaxon won’t listen and refuses to do work, and she says fighting with him about doing his schoolwork is “too hard.”

However, she says because her kids are so young, it’s not “the end of the world” if they don’t sit around everyday and do schoolwork. She says that everyone is getting stir crazy because they can’t go anywhere.
